PM Cup: APF defeats Gandaki by six wickets



KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force (APF) defeated Gandaki Province by six wickets in the Prime Minister Cup Men’s Cricket Tournament on Thursday.

APF achieved 107 runs target losing four wickets in 17.3 overs in the match played at Mulpani Cricket Ground.

Aashif Sheikh scored 78 runs for APF. Chandra Poudel and Bishal Poudel of Gandaki took two wickets each.

Gandaki, who had earlier lost the toss and opted to bat first, was bowled out for 106 in 46 overs. Sameer Kandel scored 36 runs for Gandaki. APF’s Kamal Airee took four wickets.

With this victory, APF of ‘Group A’ is in second place on the point table by adding four points from two games.
