Ruling coalition in jeopardy if parties fail to form common view on MCC: Baburam Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Federal Council Chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has warned that plots to dismantle the ruling coalition will gain momentum if ruling parties did not form a common view on Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Speaking at a program organized by the Socialist Press Organization in Kathmandu on Monday, he stressed the need to develop an understanding on MCC within the ruling coalition. “If ruling coalition fails to do so, the coalition would be in jeopardy,” he said.

“Ruling parties’ failure to develop a common view on the issue would make the coalition vulnerable and foreign and internal elements will get opportunity to play against the alliance,” he said.

He said there existed possibilities of the coalition shattering if the issue gets dragged on for long.
