KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala has visited former general secretary Prakash Man Singh at the latter’s residence in Chaksibari Saturday.
Both the leaders are aspiring contenders for the NC presidency in the ongoing 14th general convention.
According to sources, the two leaders discussed cooperation in the party’s 14th general convention.
Earlier on Thursday, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, and on Friday, central member Dr. Shekhar Koirala called on leader Singh, who is sharply attacking senior leader Poudel’s faction of the party.
At program held by party cadres in Sarlahi on Monday, NC General Secretary Koirala had remarked that leader Singh was not known widely outside Kathmandu. Leader Singh, in response, had said the general convention would reveal if he was known or not outside Kathmandu.
Today’s meet between the two leaders is to help increase cordiality among NC presidency aspirants.
