KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) is holding ward conventions across the country today.

Organizing a press conference on Friday, it announced to hold ward conventions today and village/municipal conventions on November 27.

The Maoist Center has formed a three-member election committee in all 6,743 wards to hold conventions. Such election committees have also been formed in village/municipalities and provinces, said Election Committee Chief Bishnu Pukar Shrestha.

The Maoist Center has decided to hold village/municipal conventions on November 27 and province convention on December 11.

The Maoist Center has announced to hold the party’s national conventions from the last week of December.
