KATHMANDU: Heavy rains have inundated Biratnagar Airport on Wednesday.

Flights have been suspended due to the flooding at the airport.

Aircrafts of Buddha Air and Shree Airlines, whose scheduled flights could not take off since Tuesday, have been shifted to the runway after the airport area was inundated.

The terminal building of the airport, taxiway, runway, and other areas have been inundated, according to the Civil Aviation Office at Biratnagar Airport.
