Prachanda worries Maoist Center taking to UML ways

KATHMANDU: Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has expressed worry over the party starting to resemble the UML.

Speaking a program organized at party central office at Parisdanda, Koteshwor, Monday, Prachanda expressed concern that the Maoists were also resorting to deception, lies, factions and deception, referring these tactics as UML’s ways.

“UML-ization is occuring in our party. Our party is starting to resemble the UML. Deception, lies, factionalism, betrayal, dishonesty are qualities of the UML,” he said. He added the party needed to form an alliance with other parties sharing similar perspectives on nationalism, inclusiveness, republic and thoughts.

He said leaders of the party were tarnishing overall image of the organization. “Leaders are causing problems, not the people or cadres. One is likely to succeed if they come forward admitting the consequences of their actions instead of engaging in blame game.”

Meanwhile, he also remarked that 10 leaders, including Ghanshyam Bhusal, Yogesh Bhattarai and Gokarna Bista, had surrendered themselves to UML Chair KP Oli.
