Bagmati Governor Sharma sworn in



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly-appointed Chief of Bagmati Province Yadav Chandra Sharma at the President’s Office, Shital Niwas, Friday.

Earlier in the day, President Bhandari appointed Sharma as the governor in Bagmati Province on the recommendation of the cabinet. The cabinet recommended him for the post Thursday.

Prior to appointing Sharma as governor, the President removed Bishnu Prasad Prasai from the post in Bagmati.

Newly-appointed Governor Sharma is close to leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and was personal secretary to the leader for long.
