EC calls Madhav Nepal and Mahanta Thakur’s parties for verification



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has decided to verify the proposed CPN (Unified Socialist) Party of Madhav Kumar Nepal and Democratic Socialist Party of Nepal of Mahantha Thakur for registration on August 25.

The meeting of the EC held at its office in Kantipath, Kathmandu on Friday, decided to call the the central committee members and parliamentarians of the proposed CPN (Unified Socialist) and the Democratic Socialist Party Nepal for the registration.

Secretary of the Commission Suresh Adhikari informed that the identification time has been fixed from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm on August 25 and the registration can be done on the same day.

He informed that they have been asked to be at EC with their citizenship.
