Nepal records 3,042 new COVID-19 cases, 26 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley records 898 new cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 3,042 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, out of the 10,530 people who underwent tests through the RT-PCR method, 2,079 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while 963 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 26 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The Kathmandu Valley recorded 898 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.

Out of them, 604 were detected in Kathmandu, 187 in Lalitpur, and 107 in the Bhaktapur districts.

Meanwhile, 2,244 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
