BHIMDUTTANAGAR: Twelve teachers were hurt in a clash with police here today.

Teachers who were staging protests against the arbitrary decision of Bhimduttanagar Municipality in an adjustment of teachers were injured in the clash with police.

The dispute flared up when police tried to keep the tense situation under control, following the demonstrations staged by the teachers.

According to Nepal Teachers Association, Kanchanpur secretary Navin Singh Dhami, the municipality failed to respond to their concern for long as they have been staging protests for the past 35 days.

He also shared that the injured teachers are undergoing treatment in Mahakali Provincial Hospital.
