Two minor girls go missing in Madi River



PYUTHAN: Two minor girls have gone missing in the Madi River in Pyuthan district.

They went missing while swimming in the river to beat the searing heat of the sun at 3 pm yesterday. They had gone near the river banks to graze their goats.

The missing have been identified as eight-year-old Bipana, the daughter of Bam Bahadur Thapa and seven-year-old Sarmila, the daughter of Num Bahadur Thapa of Sarumarani rural municipality-4, said DSP Sunil Malla of District Police Office, Pyuthan.

A rescue team form DPO, Pyuthan has been deployed to search the missing girls.
