Leaders discuss future strategy to strengthen opposition alliance



KATHMANDU: The opposition alliance discussed the future strategy to make the alliance stronger and effective in a meeting held in Budhanilkantha Sunday.

The meeting held Sunday at the residence of Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba discussed how to strengthen and further the alliance, said Maoist leader Dev Gurung. He said, “Today’s meeting was part of the ongoing meetings of the alliance for close cooperation.”

The meeting was attended by President Sher Bahadur Deuba, General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka from the NC, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, leaders Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Dev Gurung from the Maoist Center, leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Bhim Rawal of the UML, and Janta Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav and Federal Council Chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, among others.
