One dies when tipper hits bike at Balkhu



KATHMANDU: A motorcyclist has died when a tipper hit him in Balkhu of Kathmandu on Saturday night.

According to Metropolitan Police Circle Kalimati, the deceased has been identified as Kamal Bhujel, 38, of Khotang living in Kathmandu.

An unidentified tipper had hit Ba 75 Pa 8856 and fled from the site on Saturday night.

According to DSP Apil Raj Bohora, Bhujel was rushed to Balkhu based Bayodha hospital and succumbed to death while undergoing treatment there.

Pillion rider Deepak Lamichhane, 30, of Belkotgadhi Municipality-5 of Nuwakot has also been injured in the accident. He has sustained injuries on mouth and hands.

He is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

The police are searching the tipper and its driver.
