NEPSE loses 63.28 points to close at 2,905 points



KATHMANDU: There was a landslide in the stock market on the first trading day of the week Sunday. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 63.28 points to close at 2,905 points, a massive fall from the high 3,000 points it journeyed last week.

The share price of most trading companies declined and all the market group sub-indices have turned red.

Though the index saw a landslide, the transaction amount swelled nearly by a billion to Rs 12 billion from less than Rs 11 billion on the last trading day Thursday of last week.

A total of 273,444,500 shares of 230 companies traded through 128,281 transactions Sunday.

Shares of very few companies rose and bonds were on the rise, while finance and development bank groups lost the most.
