Coronavirus infection rate declines in Banke



NEPALGUNJ: The coronavirus infection rate in Banke district has declined significantly of late.

Only 74 patients are currently being treated at the hospital in the district – once considered an epicenter of the pandemic.

Among the patients undergoing treatment at different hospitals in the district, 13 are from Banke district, according to Tej Wali, a source at the District Covid Crisis Management Center, Banke.

He said that the beds reserved for the sick are getting empty with around 80 percent of them vacant.

Of the 361 beds set aside by four hospitals in Banke, 271 beds are vacant.
