Nepal records 8,305 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 3,232 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 8,305 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 8,227  persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 78 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 2600 persons in Kathmandu, 403 in Lalitpur, and 229 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 3,232 in past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 6,543 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

According to the Ministry, 190 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
