Over 500 police personnel infected with COVID-19; 9 deaths



KATHMANDU: As many as nine police personnel have lost their lives due to COVID-19 including the death of DSP Raj Kumar KC deployed at the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police.

According to the police headquarters, six police personnel died from the first phase of infection and nine from the second phase of infection.

Similarly over 500 Nepal Police personnel have been infected with coronavirus in the second wave of the virus.

According to police headquarters sources, the Kathmandu Valley has the highest number of infections.

There are currently 350 active infections. More than 150 infected police personnel have been cured.

The details of the recent infection in the organization have not been made public by the police.
