KATHMANDU: An organization called Hami Nepal has distributed 520 oxygen cylinders imported by Shankar Group and Infinity Holdings with the government’s support from China in a bid to fight the COVID-19.
Taking to social media Bidhan Shrestha, a member of the organization, informed that the oxygen cylinders brought from China on Wednesday were handed over to the Hami Nepal at the Tribhuvan International Airport, which then distributed them.
“Finally, we managed to import 520 cylinders from China and we distributed them the moment cylinders landed here in Kathmandu, considering the fact that every minute is important and it could save lives,” said Shrestha on his Facebook.

Even though the organization was supposed to receive 540 cylinders, it got only 520 due to some technical issues.
The remaining cylinders will be brought in the next flight, according to the organization. This is the first organization in Nepal to import Oxygen cylinders through charted flight.
