Tauktae cyclone impact: Heavy rain forecast today

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has said rain is occurring in most parts of the country due to a powerful cyclone called Tauktae.

The Auktae cyclone which is currently located around the Gujarat State of India will cause heavy rain today afternoon and then it will gradually subside said the Division.

According to a weather bulletin issued by the MFD this morning, the light to moderate rain is expected in some places of places and heavy rain in most parts of the country.

Heavy rain is forecast in a few places of Gandaki and Bagmati Pradesh today and tonight.

Similarly, heavy rain and snowfall are likely to occur in some places of high hilly and mountainous areas, said the MFD, urging the people to take precautions in the next 24 hours.
