Maoist Center still undecided on withdrawal of support to govt

Standing Committee meeting to continue tomorrow

KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the Maoist Center, which was held Tuesday at party office at Paris Danda in Koteshwor, has concluded with the next sitting scheduled for 1 pm Wednesday.

The party did not, however, make any formal decision at the meeting today regarding withdrawal of support given to the incumbent government led by Prime Minister KP Oli.

Leader and party Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said, “The party certainly doesn’t support the government and the formality of withdrawing support in writing, which remains to be done, will be discussed in the next meeting.”

According to the leader, efforts are underway to form a new government by toppling the existing government.
