CPN-UML leader Gokarna Bista urges mutual restraint

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader and former Minister Gokarna Bista has urged both factions of the party to tread ahead with restraint in the face of deepening crisis in the party.

Penning his thoughts on Facebook Tuesday, Bista mentioned both rival factions are on a collision course with both sides taking actions against lawmakers of the party, without any meaningful communication. This, as per the leader, will plunge the party into long-term crisis. Therefore, Bista appealed to search common grounds to defend UML party.

“The party can be saved by restoring party committees as per the Supreme Court verdict and running the party in accordance to party statue. Let all defend the party,” Bista wrote in his Facebook post.
