UML’s Madhav faction holding internal discussion to chalk out further strategy



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML lawmakers close to Madhav Kumar Nepal faction have initiated internal discussions after party Chairman KP Oli sought an explanation from them.

UML Chairperson Oli, who is also the Prime Minister, had on Tuesday morning sent letters to 27 UML lawmakers of the Federal Parliament seeking clarification as to why they should not be expelled from the House.

The disgruntled faction lawmakers have met at a hotel in New Baneswor to formulate their future strategy.

In the letter sent by Chairman Oli, he has alleged the lawmakers of carrying out activities that are against the party’s interest. “I instruct you to submit an explanation within three days with concrete reasons,” the letter has stated.

The letter has also warned of taking further action at any time if the lawmakers continued activities against the party.

UML Chairperson Oli had also sought clarification from 5 provincial assembly lawmakers as to why they should not be ousted from the parliament.
