‘Caste-based discrimination punishable’



MORANG: Province-1 Chief Somnath Adhikari ‘Pyasi’ said discrimination against Dalit was punishable.

He said this while inaugurating the declaration of ‘I am against caste discrimination’ campaign on the occasion of the 56th international Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination held at Tankisinbari of Budhiganga today.

On the occasion, he further called for support from all sides to end various forms of discrimination prevailing in society as anomalies.

Chief Adhikari noted that he was at the forefront of the campaign against discrimination and spoke the need to expedite such a campaign when there were the governments of citizens.

Chief District Officer of Morang Koshhari Niraula claimed that legal arrangement would help lessen discriminatory practices based on ethnic and other grounds. RSS
