Indian Ambassador Kwatra lauds NMA for ‘appreciating’ Indian vaccine drive

KATHMANDU: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra has thanked the Nepal Medical Association (NMA) for its appreciation to India and the Nepal government for bringing coronavirus vaccine to Nepal.

Taking to Twitter, Ambassador Kwatra said: “Coming from corona warriors it really means a lot. Happy to see the Indian vaccine being used for the benefit of the people of Nepal.”

The NMA, in a statement, had expressed its gratitude to the government and those involved in facilitating the supply of Indian “Covishield” (COVID-19) cavine to the people of Nepal.

It said that the vaccines had halved the risks and pressures that the medical fraternity was operating under since January 2020.
