Oli faction holding mass assembly in Biratnagar, top leaders including PM Oli to address

BIRATNAGAR: The KP Oli faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is holding a mass assembly in Biratnagar on Saturday.

Prime Minister KP Oli will attend the mass assembly organized by the Province 1 committee of the faction.

Along with the Prime Minister, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’, Subas Nembang, and Chief Minister of Province Sherdhan Rai among others will address the mass assembly.

Province 1 Committee Chairman Devraj Ghimire claimed that 200,000 people would attend the mass assembly to be held at the ground on Birat Nursing Home in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-2.

Ghimire said that 1,500 public buses have been arranged for the activists and well-wishers of different districts of Province 1 to participate in the assembly.

The faction has been holding mass assemblies in major cities of the country in the run-up to the mid-term election slated for April 30 and May 10. The faction had earlier organized a mass assembly in Butwal.

It should be noted that the dissenting faction of the ruling party has been holding protest assemblies against House dissolution.
