Ex-President Yadav expresses concerns about country’s future if HoR not restored



KATHMANDU: Former President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has said that political parties were the pillars of democracy.

Releasing the books Socialism and BP Koirala’ and ‘Anthology of BP’s Thoughts’ by Dr. Shovakar Parajuli, Dr. Yadav expressed his serious concerns to the country’s current status of democracy and socialism.

Dr. Yadav also expressed his concerns about the country’s future course if the House of Representatives (HoR) were not restored.

Stating that democracy was shadowed in the country, the former President called for the role of all to safeguard democracy.

On the occasion, Nepali Congress central committee member Shekhar Koirala accused the incumbent government of fixing the poll dates by neglecting the achievements of the people’s movement.
