Won’t be influenced by speeches on HoR restoration case: SC Justice

KATHMANDU: Justice at the Constitutional Court of the Supreme Court (SC) hearing the case against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR), has said that they will not be “influenced” by an individual’s statement.

During Wednesday’s hearing, writ petitioner Kanchan Krishna Neupane had raised the issue of whether a Justice would be influenced by Prime Minister KP Oli’s speech against the reinstatement of the HoR.

“What impression will the people get from the Prime Minister’s speech about the HoR reinstatement at a time when the issue is sub-judice at the SC?” Neupane had asked.

Responding to the query, Justice Anil Sinha said that they would not be influenced by any statements made outside.
