Ruling parties hold talks in Baluwatar before all-party meet



KATHMANDU: A meeting among partners of the ruling coalition began at around 2 pm at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

The meeting of the ruling coalition parties took place before the all-party meeting slated for 4 pm at the Parliament building in New Baneshwor Sunday.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba called for an all-party meeting today to seek consensus on the United States grant project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). The agenda of the all-party meet is to discuss main opposition CPN-UML’s continuous obstruction in parliament and MCC.

The meeting among parties in the ruling coalition ahead of the all-party meet is to form a common opinion about MCC and other agenda to be presented in the all-party meeting to be held later today.

The meeting in Baluwatar was attended by Prime Minister Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Nepal, Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav and Janamorcha Nepal leader Durga Poudel.
