Nawalpur food, trade festival on December 23



NAWALPUR: The First Nawalpur Food, Tourism, Culture and Trade Festival is taking place at Kawasoti in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) on December 23-January 1.

Features of the festival to be organised by the Hotel Entrepreneurs Association, Nawalpur include display of indigenous food items, paragliding, jungle safari in the buffer zone of the Chitwan National Park and boating in the Narayani river, said President of the Association Santosh Rana.

Construction of the exhibition place at the playground at Kawasoti-8 and publicity programmes is underway, he said.

Approximately 200 stalls will be put up for the event. Under the event, paragliders will fly from Baluwadanda to Hattikhor.

One paraglider can spend approximately 25 minutes in the sky. Ten to 35 flights will be operated on a daily basis and for that, five pilots have been managed, said the organizer.
