Ruling parties to meet ahead of an all-party meeting

All-party meeting at 4 pm; CPN-UML not to attend



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the ruling coalition is being held ahead of the all-party meeting convened by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Minister for Information and Communication Gyanendra Bahadur Karki informed that a meeting of the ruling party has been convened to form a common position on various national issues.

“A meeting of the ruling coalition will be held at 2 pm to form a consensus,” he said.

The meeting will be attended by Prime Minister Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav and Janamorcha Nepal leader Durga Poudel.

After that, the all-party meeting will be held at 4 pm. Prime Minister Deuba has called a meeting to discuss the ongoing obstruction in the parliament, MCC and other current political issues.

Top leaders of all parties participating in the meeting have been invited to the meeting.

The CPN (UML) has been obstructing the proceedings of both Houses for a long time. UML, meanwhile, has said it would not participate in today’s all-party meeting.
