KATHMANDU: The government plans to send 10,000 nurses to the UK for employment.

The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security has informed that it is currently working on it to send staff nurses to the United Kingdom.

Secretary at the Ministry Surya Prasad Gautam said that the agreement was being prepared as the British government wanted to bring nurses from Nepal.

“We are discussing to reach a labor-friendly agreement. It will be worked out soon,” he said.
Labor Minister Krishna Kumar Shrestha also said that the ministry was looking for a new labor destination.

“We are looking for other safe destinations like the UK. In such countries, we send workers through labor agreements,” he added.
