Nepal sees 1,096 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 1,096 new cases of coronavirus while 1,004 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 957 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 139 from antigen method.

Likewise, there are 243 cases in Kathmandu, 24 in Bhaktapur and 87 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the Valley to 354 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 12 infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death toll to 11,305.
