Socialism thru implementation of Constitution: Unified Socialist Chair Nepal



KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal has asserted that the country could achieve socialism envisaged by the constitution that was promulgated via the constituent assembly.

Chairperson Nepal urged one and all to make an honest effort to translate the essence and spirit of the constitution.

Nepal, also the former Prime Minister, expressed, “Although huge change and reforms were realized in the state mechanism and governance in the country following the promulgation of the constitution, the regressive and rightist forces were on the prowl against the constitution.”

According to him, competitive multiparty democracy as governing system, freedom for the citizens, fundamental rights, human rights, children’s rights, periodic election, full press freedom, free and independent judiciary among others were the values embraced by the constriction.

On the occasion, Nepal extended his condolences to the martyrs losing their lives for the greater good of the country and for the federal democratic republic system in the country.
