Second dose of Vero Cell vaccine to be administered from tomorrow



KATHMANDU: The second shot of Vero Cell vaccine against COVID-19 is to be administered from September 20.

District Health Office, Kathmandu, is going to administer the second dose of vaccine from 145 vaccination centers of the district.

The office has urged all the beneficiaries to get vaccinated after reaching the designated centers.

Chief Public Health Administrator of the office, Badri Bahadur Khadka, said that 32 vaccination centers have been designated in Kathmandu Metropolitan City, and 10 in Kirtipur.

Likewise, 15 vaccination centers in Chandragiri, 10 in Nagarjun, 11 in Tarkeshwor, nine in Dakschinkali, 13 in Budhanilkantha, 11 in Tokha and nine each in Gokarneshwor, Shankarapur and Bageshwori Manahar have also been designated.

Similarly, vaccination centers have also been set up at Nepal Police Hospital, Maharajgunj, Armed Police Force Hospital, Balambu, Bir Hospital, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Civil Service Hospital, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital and Birendra Army Hospital.

The government had brought 4.4 million doses of Vero Cell vaccine from China on Friday.
