Maoists rose from criminal foundation: UML Chair Oli

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has called the Maoist Center a party that rose by carrying out criminal acts.

Speaking at the Central Committee (CC) meeting of the UML at Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation in Chysal, Lalitpur, Monday, the UML chair said the Maoists were fragile at the moment. “The Maoists are weak now but they surely have emerged as a political entity by means of committing crimes,” he said.

Likewise, UML Chair Oli remarked that the incumbent Nepali Congress (NC) government was formed by piecing together the remains of recycled wastage.

“The vote of confidence received by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is the result of accumulating leftovers,” he said, warning that the Deuba-led government would misuse its power to mount attacks on the UML. He urged to be prepared to protest the government.
