After Modi, Pakistani PM Khan congratulates PM Deuba



KATHMANDU: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has congratulated Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba for obtaining the vote of confidence.

Posting a twitter message Prime Minister Khan congratulated his Nepali counterpart Deuba and expressed his hope that the relations between the two countries will take a new height during Deuba’s premiership.

Khan, in the tweet, also expressed his readiness to work in collaboration with Nepal on the issues of common interest.

Supreme Court (SC) had reinstated the dissolved House of Representatives (HoR) and appointed Nepali Congress President Deuba as the Prime Minister of Nepal.

Prime Minister Deuba took the vote of confidence on Sunday.

Of the total 271 lawmakers,   Prime Minister Deuba required 136 votes. Deuba received 165 votes.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Deuba immediately after the latter received the vote of confidence.
