Over 28.6 million recover from COVID-19 in India

NEW DELHI: Southern neighbor India has witnessed a sharp decline in the number of COVID-19 infection cases, of late.

India recorded 60,800 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 29,822,764.

Earlier, the daily infection cases had reached up to 400,000.

Currently, 766,718 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 28,670,879 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 385,100-mark.

With 1,269 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 385,167, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,866,596 and infected 178,583,054 globally until the filing of this news.
