NEPSE decreases by 13.09 points

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has decreased by 13.09 points on Wednesday.

With today’s decrement, the index has come down by 2780.81 points.

Shares of banks, hotels, trade, and finance groups increased but shares of other groups declined.

Shares of Development Bank Group have declined by 52 points.

Similarly, shares of hydropower group declined by 60 points, life insurance by 29 points, non-life insurance by 158 points, manufacturing by 66 points, and other groups by 27 points.

Despite the decrease in Nepse, a new record has been set in the transaction amount.

A total of 251 million shares of 214 companies have been bought and sold resulting in a turnover of Rs 11.95 billion. This amount is still the highest in the history of Nepal’s stock market.

The company had the highest turnover of more than Rs 550 million in Nepal Reinsurance on Wednesday.

Shares of Nyadi Group Hydro fell the most at nearly 7 percent. Shares of Samata Domestic Microfinance, Ruru Hydro, Gurans Finance, Nepal Finance, and Karnali Development Bank have risen nearly 10 percent despite the overall market shrank.
