POKHARA: Chief Minister of Gandaki Pradesh Prithvi Subba Gurung is extending his cabinet on Wednesday.

Gurung is extending the Council of Ministers at 2 pm, with the same old faces, sources have said.

Chief Minister Gurun is reappointing Rajiv Gurung as the Minister for Youth and Sports, Ram Sharan Basnet as the Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Kiran Gurung as Minister for Economic Affairs, Bikash Lamsal as the Minister for Tourism and Naradevi Pun as the Minister for Social Development.

Gurung himself will look after the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law and the Ministry of Agriculture, according to sources.

Gurung, who had resigned from his post after a no-confidence was filed against him, had been reelected as the Chief Minister on May 12.

He has to take the vote of confidence within one month from the day he was reappointed as the Chief Minister.

Ruling CPN-UML has 28 lawmakers. Gurung requires additional three lawmakers for the majority of votes for the confidence motion.
