PM Oli directs to include popular packages in budget



KATHMANDU: The government is making preparations to bring the budget for the fiscal year 2021/22.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel to include popular programs in the budget, targeting the upcoming elections.

Given the direction, it seems that Prime Minister Oli is likely to dissolve the parliament and announce date for elections any time soon.

Floating the confidence motion in the parliament on May 10, Oii had hinted that he would announce the date for fresh elections by dissolving the incumbent parliament.

Asking for votes in the parliament, he had said the lawmaker should vote him if they wanted to prolong the tenure of the parliament.

Oli’s statement has hinted that the government would for fresh elections any time soon.
