Chudal and Subedi appointed as SC Justices



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Bhandari has appointed Dr. Kumar Chudal and Nahakul Subedi to the posts of Justices in the Supreme Court (SC).

President Bhandari inducted Chudal and Subedi as Justices in the Supreme Court on the recommendation of the Judicial Council in line with Article 129 (2) of the Constitution, informed Rupnarayan Bhattarai, the spokesperson for the Office of the President.

Chudal (Jhapa) and Subedi (Myagdi) are currently serving as the chief judges at High Court Patan and High Court Surkhet, respectively.

The Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee (PHSC) had endorsed their names a few days ago.
