Govt to impose stricter restrictions on crowded places



KATHMANDU: The government is imposing restrictions on crowded public places to control the spread of coronavirus.

A meeting of the cabinet held Monday morning decided to issue instruction considering the new variants of coronavirus, according to a minister.

The cabinet has decided to close schools until May 14 instructing schools to opt for alternative ways of learning such as online classes.

Likewise, the cabinet meeting has also decided to enforce restrictions on transportation, restaurants, stadiums, among other places to stem the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting has also decided to minimize the crowd in the public transportation system.
