CPN-UML holding central committee meeting today

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML is holding its Central Committee meeting at 1 pm today.

The meeting to be held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar is scheduled to constitute the party’s general convention organizing committee.

Party Chairman KP Oli had earlier announced holding the party’s 10th general convention from November 18 to 22.

Meanwhile, the Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction has decided to refrain from attending today’s meeting.

Leaders close to the faction said they would not participate in the meeting until the party Chairman withdrew its “unilateral” decision to induct former Maoist leaders into the party’s central committee.
