NC-led govt within two weeks: NC General Secretary Koirala

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala has claimed that the NC will lead the new government within two weeks.

Talking to the media persons here Friday, leader Koirala shared that the NC, CPN (Maoist Centre) and Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) would forge alliance to form the new government. He said, “NC will lead the alliance and form the new government after the Maoist Centre and JSP reach a conclusion to form the new government.”

“The Maoist Centre is still in the government. It is not good to move ahead without proper evaluation of the situation,” he argued.

Koiarla argued that the NC has a responsibility to safeguard the constitution currently, adding that the Supreme Court corrected the regressive move of the Prime Minister to dissolve the House of Representatives (HoR).
