UML leader Nepal to inaugurate YAN national meet Saturday

KATHMANDU: The rift in the CPN-UML is expanding to the youth wings of the party.

Youth Association of Nepal (YAN), a youth wing of the UML, close to Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal, is organizing a national cadres’ meet at Rashtriya Sabha Griha in Bhrikutimandap on Saturday.

Coordinator of organizing committee of Saturday’s gathering Naresh Shahi said that UML senior leader Nepal will inaugurate the assembly tomorrow. The organizing committee held a press meet on Friday to inform in this regard.

Shahi said the Supreme Court verdict of March 7, which revived the UML and CPN (Maoist Center), had also affected the party’s youth wings and their committees.

In this context, Shahi stressed the gathering was being organized to strengthen, restructure and mobilize the youth wings of the party.
