Prachanda-Nepal faction denounces Province Chief dismissal



KATHMANDU: Prachanda-Nepal faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has denounced the dismissal of the province chief of Province 2 as a fascist act of PM KP Oli’s government.

Speaking to journalists after the faction’s Central Committee’s emergency meeting on Friday, Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha lambasted PM Oli for intruding democratic norms and values one after another and added that the removal of province chief was an indication of Oli’s fascism.

Earlier, President Bidya Devi Bhadari had dismissed Province 2 Chief Tilak Pariyar and appointed journalist Rajesh Ahiraj as the new chief at the recommendation of PM Oli on Friday.
