KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has said that the current government will not deviate from the path of democracy.

Speaking at a function organized at Nepal Army Pavilion on Friday on the occasion of Democracy Day, Prime Minister Oli said, “The current government will neither violate constitution nor allow others to violate. It will not go against the people’s mandate.”

On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli requested underground outfits to abandon minor differences and return to peaceful politics, referring to Netra Bikram Chand alias Biplav-led group.

“Let’s give up small differences. I urge you to come to the mainstream politics,” said Oli.

Mentioning that Nepal should be united, PM Oli suggested that everyone’s thoughts should be focused on the national interest.

The Prime Minister also said that the development of the country should be accelerated.

“We will focus on fulfilling the conditions of sustainable development in 2030. Therefore, development should be accelerated,” he said.
