Dr. Shashank Koirala leads in NC central committee vote count



KATHMANDU: Dr. Shashank Koirala has been in a lead in the vote count for the central member at the 14th General Convention of the party.

The counting of votes for the ‘open’ category of central member is underway.

According to NC sources, Dr. Koirala has taken the lead in the ongoing polls. He has got 59 votes out of 165 votes.

Similarly, Arjun Nar Singh KC has got 48 votes, Ramesh Lekhak 43, Uday Shumsher Rana 41, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki 42, Ajay Babu Siwakoti 32 and NP Saund 46 votes so far.

Similarly, Jit Jung Basnet and Dilendra Badu have scored 39, Nain Singh Mahar 41, Bal Krishna Khan 42 and Bal Bahadur KC 32 votes.

Under the ‘open’ category, 99 candidates are contesting for the posts of 35 central members of the party.
