Agitating lawyers say they are “close to victory”

KATHMANDU: Supreme Court (SC) Bar Association Chairman Purnaman Shakya has urged SC judges not to make any move that would boost the morale of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana.

Shakya said so when some SC judges were set to take part in the full court meeting called by CJ Rana on Thursday.

Stating that the agitating lawyers were close to victory, Shakya said that it would be objectionable if justices supported Rana at this time.

Similarly, Harihar Dahal, former chairman of the Bar, said that police interference in the Bar movement should be stopped.

He warned Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand to stop police repression.
