Four held with red panda hide



SURKHET: Police have arrested four people with the hide of protected animal red panda, which is also called “Habre” in Nepali in Birendranagar.

According to District Police Office, Surkhet, they were arrested from a hotel based in Birendranagar-7 with the hide on Friday.

The arrested are Man Bahadu Budha, 28, of Raskot municipality-8, Kalikot, Bishnu Rawat, 33, of Thanthikadh rural municipality-6, and Purna Basnet, 21, and Narendra Thapa, 25, of Narayan municipality-10, said Police Inspector Kanak Shahi of DPO, Surkhet.

Shahi said further investigation into the case is underway.
